Silk Way Weekly: In a distressing incident in southern Afghanistan’s Helmand province, Taliban insurgents have claimed responsibility for the targeted assassination of a judge from the former regime’s arbitration court.
The victim, identified as Mawlawi Sayed Gol, served as an arbitral judge in Helmand. Tragically, he was killed on Tuesday afternoon following his arrest at his residence in Lashkar Gah, according to a reliable source.
This act of violence adds to a series of similar attacks by the Taliban on former government employees and individuals associated with the previous administration.
Disturbingly, the Taliban’s actions have led to the arrest, torture, and murder of several former government officials and security personnel, further highlighting the gravity of their crimes against the previous Afghan government and its affiliates.
