Silk Way weekly: 2 girl students killed, 11 wounded in explosion in girls’ school in Jawzjan.
According to local media in Jawzjan province, two female students were killed and 11 injured in an explosion inside a girls’ elementary school classroom in the Qosh Tepa district.
The explosion occurred around 9:00 am on Wednesday, March 29.
Abdul Qahar Helmi, a spokesperson for the Taliban command in Jawzjan, confirmed the news, saying that the explosion occurred at 9 am, killing 2 and wounding 6 other female students in the Qosh Tepa district on Wednesday.
He said the students were killed and injured while playing with a grenade they had found.
However, some informed sources on the matter believe Taliban are behind the attack.
