Jade-Abresham(Silk Way): Taliban leader in a new order has emphasized on women’s covering or hijab issued on Saturday, May 5, 2022.
The decree says women shall cover their face when they face a strange man.
The decree also mentions borqa as the best hijab for women, but it says not stepping out of home is better if they strong reasons.
Taliban have considered several steps to implement hijab decree on women and they have warned guardian of the women if they decree is not followed, they will take the following steps:
First, the home of the women who has not observed hijab will be identified and the guardian will be advised and warned.
Second, if repeated the act, the guardian will be summoned.
Third, the guardian of the women will be imprisoned for 3 days.
Fourth, her guardian will be sent to court for further punishment
The new decree of the Taliban says, “if a woman does not observe hijab, she will be fired.”
The decree has also warned the government men employees, saying if their wives do not observe hijab, they will lose their jobs.
Taliban have defined specific role for the media and Mulla Imams of the mosques, and to cooperate with the Taliban to “The benefits, order and importance of hijab and demits of lack of hijab must be highlighted by media and manbars.”
According to the plan, a high ranking delegation has been established by the Taliban to assess situation of Women hejab. The high ranking members of the delegation include Shaikh Mohammad Khled Hanafi , Head of the delegation, Mawlawi Abdul Hakim Haqqni, Mawlawi Noor Mohammad Saqib, Mawlawi Shahabuddin Delawar, Mawlawi Fariduddin Mahmud, Mawlawi Noorullah Monir and Mawlawi Noorul Haq Anwar.
