Silk Way Weekly(Jade-Abresham): The officials of SarE Pul Education Department have said that they are investigating the poisoning of female students in Sancharak district of Sar e Pul.
Based on reports from local sources in Sar e Pul, nearly 80 female students of two primary schools in Sancharak district of this province have been poisoned.
This event happened on Saturday and Sunday of this week in “Abkabud” and “Faiz Abad” schools.
Mohammad Umir SarPuli, head of Taliban culture and information in Sarpul, said that 63 people, including four teachers, one of the parents of the students, and one of the assistants of the ” Abkabud ” school were poisoned, and 26 people were also poisoned in the Faiz Abad Sancharak school, including a deputy and four members of the students’ families were there.
The head of Taliban culture and information in Sarpul said that the poisoned girls had symptoms of diarrhea, nausea and shortness of breath, and the substances used to poison the students were tear-inducing.
The sources add that the poisoned have been admitted to the hospital and their health status is reported to be good.
Until now, the substances used to poison the students have not been identified, and no one or any group has taken responsibility for it.
One of the local officials of the Taliban confirmed this incident in a conversation with the Associated Press news agency and considered it to be a result of personal enmity. While other local officials of the Taliban claim that someone apparently did this in exchange for money.
During the republic period, similar incidents occurred in girls’ schools in Afghanistan, which Taliban were blamed for them.
