Afghan Women’s Rights Protesters; Education is duty, not Mubah!

 

Jade-Abresham(Silk Way): A number of women’s rights protesters in Kabul on 25 September, reacting to the statements of the acting Minister of Ordering to Virtue and Prohibiting form the Vice as saying education was Mubah and not a Duty, widely condemned it.

These women who had gathered in a closed area duty security reasons said that Education wad a Duty for all, according to the Holy Quran and not Mubah (an act that its doing is good but if one does not it, it will not be bad).

Speaking at a gathering in Kabul, Shir Mohammad Stanikzai the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs said there are no Islam-based reasons on for banning education for girls and there is no excuse for girls’ schools to remain closed.

Sheikh Khalid, the Acting Virtue Propagation and Vice Prevention Minister, reacting to Stanikzai’s remarks said education (learning non-religious sciences) was Mubah and the people shall not waste their time on learning them.
