Jade-Abresham(Silk Way): the Taliban fighters have recently removed the Persian Tablet of Herat University and have installed the Pashtu tablet in its place.
Herat University had no tablet for 6 years due to controversies on the “Danishgah” and “Poohantun” terms.
Taliban also have removed the Persian tablets of public universities of Balkh, Takhar and Baghlan and have replaced Pashtu tablets in their places.
Removing the Persian tablets in public universities received wide criticism on social media and many termed it as an act of enmity with the Persian language.
The spokesperson of the Taliban Ministry of Higher Education, sometimes ago said that, only “Poohantun” was the legal terminology for the University equivalent in Afghanistan!
