Taliban closed 3 girls’ Mechanical Institutes in Balkh

 

Jade-Abresham(Silk Way): Local sources in Mazar e Sharif of Balkh reported that Taliban have closed Institutes of Management and Accounting, Oil and Gas and Sajadia Institutes on Balkh female students.

According to the local sources male students attend their classes as before.

Local sources said that Taliban have said they have closed these institutes on female students duet to entrance exam.

According to the available information, there are 650 female students in Management and Accounting Institute, 250 students in Oil and Gas and 135 female students in Sajadia Institute.

Talban have excluded women from the political structures during the last year, and they are excluding them from social activities, academic centers and markets.

Local sources in Balkh also said that Taliban have taken down the Persian Tablet of Balkh University saying the law only permits the Pashto “Pohantoon” term.

Using “Danishgah” the Persian “term” for university was one of the conflicting issues during the republic among the members of the parliament.
