Jade-Abresham(Silk Way): Afghanistan Journalists Center said that Taliban intelligence had detained 4 local journalists for covering Paktia’s girls protest in Gardiz, the provincial capital of Paktia.
AJC reported that Taliban intelligence had investigated each reporter for 4 hours and then had released them.
Paktia’s girl students protested the school ban on girl students above 7 grade on 10 September in Paktia.
The protesting girl students urged the Taliban to open the doors of schools to them. However, the Acting Minister of Taliban for the Ministry of Education has said Afghan families do not want their girls to go to school in the current situation.
