Amnesty International; Taliban Committed War Crimes

 

Jade-Abresham Weekly: Amnesty international in its recent report released on 25 August, Thursday, said that the Taliban have committed war crimes during the last year. The report considers killing 13 Hazaras in Daykondi on 30 August 2021 as an example of war crimes by the Taliban forces.

The report writes the Taliban have harassed minority groups, suppressed peaceful protests, eliminated women and girls from the public scene, committed extrajudicial hanging ups, tortured, detained illegally, and killed people to create fear among the people.

Amidst Amnesty International has just published its report on the Taliban’s war crimes, harassing people and suppressing the peaceful protests in the country during the last year, Taliban’s fighters killed, forcibly moved, tortured, and shot killed tens of people in different provinces of Afghanistan.

Takhar: Local sources in Takhar reported that the Taliban shot killed a former ANSF member on 25 August in Pul e Ab area of Takhar province.
Local sources added that the victim was named Nooruddin and was from Khanqah village of Warsaj district, Takhar.

Pnjshri: Local sources in Panjshir reported that Taliban forcibly moved sevral families from Paryan and Abdullahkhil districts on 25 august.
Taliban have accused residents of Abdullahkhil of cooperation with the NRF in the mountains of Panjshir.

Local sources added that Taliban’s fresh forces led by Mullah Qayum Zakir missioned by Mullah Habbatullah for Panjshir war and Adrabha, have told the residents of Paryan district to evacuate some villages. Taliban plan to use these villages as their bases for military operations on NRF.

Balkh: Balkh chief of Police of Taliban said that they had killed two thieves on 25 August in PD8 of Mazar e Sharif.
Field execution is one of the regular of Taliban killings since the group seized power in Kabul.
