Taliban removed female employees of revenues and customs Deputy Ministry of Finance

According to local sources, the Taliban have contacted female employees of MoF informing them that they have been removed from the ministry.
Taliban have told these female employees to introduce their husbands, brothers, or fathers to replace them. They have warned the female employees saying if they do not have someone to replace them, their positions will be given to other people.

One of the female employees who did not want to mention her name due to security concerns told Jade Abresham, that the Taliban have specifically told female employees of revenues and customs Deputy Ministry of Finance not to attend their jobs anymore. According to her, the revenues and customs Deputy Ministry of Finance is one of the key revenue-generating sections of MoF, and its employees have been informed to introduce their husbands, brothers, or fathers to replace them, otherwise, their positions will be offered to other people.
“I do not know whether I am an employee of MoF or not, because it is two months that I have received no salary from the ministry. Taliban have not made a decision about the fate of other female employees of MoF and I don’t know what will be the fate of our career.” She says. According to her, female employees had no physical presence in the office after the Taliban seized Kabul and they only received low salaries now and then. Further, it is not clear what decision the Taliban want to make about them.
A protesting woman who does not want her name to be mentioned, and worked for Ibn e Sina Pharmacy which is a sub-set of MoF, says she was sacked after participating in a women rights protest in Kabul. She says she wanted to object the Taliban decision but changed her mind due to life threats against herself and her family.
Many female employees lost their jobs after the Kabul fell. Taliban ordered female presenters to wear a mask some days ago and they prevent women reporters of press conferences in order to marginalize women from the public scene.
In a recent move, Taliban prevented MoF female employees to return on their posts.
A number of Afghan female employees, staging a protest, urged the Taliban take care government to allow them to return to their work.

D. Lyons, Special Representative of the Secretary General for Afghanistan, announced her resignation in a statement and left Afghanistan without mentioning the reason behind her resignation.
After passing 3 months of the new educational year, school girls are closed on girls above 7 grade, the universities have been segregated and women go to university wearing black clothes and masks.
