Silk Way Weekly: The media reported that a woman hanged herself and ended her life in Daikundi district.
According to media reports, this woman was 28 years old and committed suicide last night – Tuesday, 18 of July – in Pitab Azmuk village of Shahristan district.
Until now, the cause of this woman’s suicide has not been clarified, and the security officials of the Taliban group in Daikundi have not said anything about it.
In the past few months, suicide among women and girls has increased in a number of provinces.
Family violence, forced and underage marriages and restrictions imposed by the Taliban group are said to be the most important reasons for suicide among girls and women.
