Silk Way Weekly: According to local Daikundi media reports, a woman committed suicide in this province on Monday and another on Tuesday of this week.
On Monday – 17 of July – a 17-year-old girl named Rana hanged herself in Miramor district and ended her life.
On Tuesday – 18 of July – a 28-year-old woman named Tahira hanged herself and ended her life in “Pitab Azmuk” village of Sharistan district, Daikondi.
The reason for the suicide of these two has not been clarified yet.
At the same time, Taliban security sources in Faryab confirmed that a 25-year-old woman committed suicide on Tuesday night – 18 of July – in Bel Chiragh district of this province.
According to the sources, this woman’s name was Khaleda and she committed suicide by taking poisonous medicine.
According to sources, Khaleda was her husband’s second wife and ended her life because of her husband’s inattention during the five years of their marriage.
Domestic violence, forced and underage marriages and restrictions imposed by the Taliban are the most important reasons for suicide among women and girls.
