Kiti District Residents: Kochis beaten people and cut off almond trees

Silk Way Weekly: Local sources told the Silk Way Weekly that some armed Kochis supported by Taliban have beaten a number of local men and women in Kiti, Daikondi.

According to the local sources this incident happened on 16 September 2023 in Kiti district, Dailondi.
Esmatullah Ghulami, one of the local people beaten by Taliban told the Silk Way Weekly that Kochis along with their cattle have entered Central Kiti and they have left their herds on people’s fields.

According to Ghulami when the villagers prevented Kohcis herds on their fields, armed Kochis beaten a number of men and women villagers.

According to Ghulami, Kochis have destroyed about 1,000 almond trees of the villagers, and have looted their houses and properties.

A video shared on social media shows a number of men and women are beaten by armed Kochis in central Kiti.

Before this, Armed Kochis supported by Taliban had cut of fruit trees of the villagers in Oruzgan.
After the Taliban takeover, armed Kochis have repeated attacked on central highlands, Hazara populated areas and northern provinces of Afghanistan. Kochis have extorted money from them under various pretexts. Kochis also have opened hundreds of lawsuits against Hazaras’ lands in Bamyan Daikondi.

Taliban has detained two Hazaras based on the order of the Taliban provincial governor in Bamyan to force them to surrender their lands to Kochis.
