Jade-Abresham(Silk Way):Taliban detained a journalist in Uruzgan while they released Mohammad Sial, the chief in editor of audio-video program of Paiwastoon, only days ago.
Local sources say that Taliban detained Shamsullah Shams the reporter of Radio Salam Uruzgan charging with criminal case.
One of the family members of Shams said that Taliban detained Shams four days ago. Relatives of Shams say that he has committed no crime. Uruzgan local urge the Taliban not to detain the journalists illegally.
After the Taliban takeover, freedom of speech and access to information have been seriously restricted and reporters have no safety after publishing reports revealing the shortcomings of Taliban.
Advocacy agencies for journalists and media say that during last 10 months more than 90 journalists have been imprisoned and tortured by Taliban.
